Talofa Lava ... It's Samoan Language Week

Today we started celebrating Samoan Language Week here at Rongomai School. Huge thank you to Bryson and Christine for sharing stories about your culture and teaching all of us here in Room 9 how to greet each other in your beautiful language.

Today we were given our "word" of the week ... 'Alofa' which means love. I think it's quite fitting for us here in  Room 9 because we are just one big loving family.

We took a visit to the library where the awesome Matua Lui "set the scene" for us to enjoy all the amazing artefacts he bought in.

Below are a few photos from today's adventure.

REMINDER TO ALL PARENTS - WEDNESDAY IS CRAZY LAVALAVA DAY. PLEASE WEAR A LAVALAVA AND BRING A GOLD COIN TO SUPPORT OUR SAMOAN CULTURE GROUP. Much Alofa.
